I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which I work, and live, the Boonwurung, and Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. I pay my respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.

Bus Projects

In the future, we will sit in.
We will sit inside the limousine
that becomes the sea.
The lip-shine requests:
“Let me get out of the bag, use me”.
Relics of resilience,
the objects refuse to rest.
Lip-shine, the ring, the henna designs,
The camel-milk bottle, the limousine.
Confidently they stroll.

Tashabok presents ficto-critical videos, inspired by collaborative drawing sessions, and conversations with artists and participants. The ongoing project since 2020 proposes a counter-geography of displaced objects and alternative mapping of migrant materials based on playful drawing, and storytelling. So far, the collaborative drawing sessions took place in Mbantua/ Alice Springs, O’ghe P’oghe/Santa Fe (U.S.A), and Narrm/Melbourne. Tashabok was partly funded by the 2022/23 Small Project Grants Program (City of Yarra).
